Dance Kinesiology (AFCMD)

AFCMD (Functional Analysis of the Body in Dance Movement) is a complementary subject to dance pedagogy, integrated into the state dance teacher's diploma in France

It is also used in the initial and professional training of dancers, as well as in other artistic and martial arts training programs. AFCMD offers original methods for learning and teaching the development, guidance, and control of movement, based on functional anatomy, biomechanics, and multisensory postural analysis. It belongs to the field of somatic education, similar to the Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais Method, and Body-Mind Centering.
